Jesse Dockx (1997) started playing drums at a young age and studied at the Royal Conservatoire in Antwerp with Dré Pallemaerts, Mark Schilders & Stéphane Galland. He completed his master studies in 2021.
In the summer of 2021, thanks to a scholarship provided by BAEF, he moved to New York City. There he studied for two semesters at the City College of New York where he took lessons with Eric McPherson and Adam Cruz.
He is active in projects such as Ewout Pierreux Rhodes Trio, Anti-Panopticon, Lieven Cambré quartet, YENTL & occasionally leading his own bands . Furthermore he works as a freelance musician and has had the chance to perform with amongst others: Bert Joris, Joe Lovano, Tutu Puoane, Dado Moroni, Brussels Jazz Orchestra, John Ruocco,...
